Margaret Stump Receives CPA Designation


Margaret “Maggie” Stump, an Accountant with Contryman Associates, P.C., has received her certificate and permit to practice as a Certified Public Accountant from the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Stump has met the experience requirement, two years in public accounting, in addition to having demonstrated her technical competency, through comprehensive examination, in the areas of auditing and attestation, regulation, business environment concepts, and financial accounting and reporting. As a Certified Public Accountant, 80 hours of Continuing Professional Education, earned during a two year period, are required in order to renew her permit to practice.

Stump holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an accounting emphasis, from University of Nebraska Kearney. Stump has experience with individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax preparation and planning.  She began her career with Contryman Associates in 2015 after attending UNK. Maggie is the daughter of Therese and William Stump of Grand Island, Nebraska.
