Mitch Hamik has joined Contryman Associates, P.C. as an accountant in the firm’s Tax Department in their Grand Island location. In this role he works with other professionals in the department to prepare business and individual tax returns and provide tax planning for clients.

Originally from Atkinson, Nebraska, Hamik received his bachelor of arts degree in Professional Accounting from Doane College. Hamik is currently completing additional classes to fulfill the 150-hour requirement allowing him to sit for the CPA examination.

He formerly worked for two years as a management trainee at a bank in St. Edward, Nebraska. Prior to that, Hamik was a personal banker in Lincoln, Nebraska for two years. His parents are Jeff and Carol Hamik, from Atkinson.

Contryman Associates, P.C., is a Certified Public Accounting firm that has provided accounting and business consulting services in Nebraska since 1939. In addition to their Grand Island office, the firm has offices in Hastings, Kearney, Lexington, Scottsbluff, Central City, and Geneva.
