Andy Wichelt, a Tax Accountant with Contryman Associates, P.C., has received his certificate and license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant from the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy.

As a Certified Public Accountant, Wichelt has proven his competency in the areas of auditing and attestation, regulation, business environment and financial accounting and reporting. He has completed the educational requirements, two years experience in public accounting and passed the examination. As a Certified Public Accountant, hours of Continuing Professional Education are required each year to renew his license.

Originally from Cozad, Wichelt was an honor graduate of Hastings College with a degree in Professional Accounting. He has experience in personal and business tax, bookkeeping and payroll preparation and governmental auditing. He started with Contryman Associates in 2005, working in the Lexington location. He has been working in the firm’s Kearney office since November 2007.

Wichelt is the son of Greg and Jenny Wichelt and the grandson of Mary Wichelt and Don and Ethel Fox, all of Cozad. He graduated from Cozad Senior High in 2001.
